Alaska is known for its wild beauty and abundant fish, making it the perfect destination for halibut and salmon fishing. Our halibut and salmon trips offer anglers a full-day fishing experience, targeting both Alaskan halibut and salmon! We’ll start the day off with trolling for salmon and spend the afternoon targeting halibut. Once we’re done halibut fishing, if salmon limits are still needed, we’ll swing back thru with some trolling on the wayback in! What’s better than exploring some of Alaska’s stunning waters while also having a chance to catch some of the most delicious fish in the world!?
Trip Details| Homer Fishing Charters
Our Homer fishing charters are designed to be full-day charters. As mentioned above, we’ll spend the morning trolling various spots targeting Alaskan salmon, then spend the afternoon targeting halibut. Early season is great for targeting king salmon, while fall offers the opportunity for both kings and silvers! Below are additional halibut and salmon trip details to review:

What’s Included:
We offer our halibut and salmon fishing trips March thru September. This trip is a great option for those who want to maximize their opportunity of filling the freezer with fresh Alaskan halibut and salmon! This is also a great trip for those who like to switch up fishing styles and try out different techniques and gear!

6-Passenger vessel
As you have read, we prioritize small group experiences! With owning and operating 6-passenger vessels, our crew is able to personally connect and provide more hands experience.
Safety Gear + Equipment
Our vessels are equipped with up-to-date saftey gear and equipment! Captain Garrett will go over all features and amenities during the morning pep talk, prior to leaving the dock for fishing!
Gear + Bait + Tackle
In addition to prioritizing small group experiences, we also prioritize quality gear, bait and tackle for every trip! This means you can leave the stress of prepping for your upcoming fishing trip to us!
Fish cleaning
At the end of your trip, after all the fun photos, the crew will work on getting all of your fish separated and filleted prior to arriving back to the harbor! Additionally, the crew will also place a call, ahead of time, to the processor, who will then meet you down on the docks to collect fish to process!
Coffee + Heated Cabin
That’s right- you read that correctly! The M/V Sweet T has an enclosed, heated cabin that you can go in and out of all day long. We also have a coffee maker and all the fixings for you to enjoy all day long!

The Captain’s Choice
Our Captain’s Choice is our long range, premier trip offered May thru September! With this option, anglers have the option to either focus the day targeting trophy halibut or focusing on targeting multiple species. Other species include salmon, rockfish and cod.
Halibut Fishing
We also offer halibut trips that focus on halibut only and are shorter in trip duration. This trip is a great option for family’s that have young ones on board and for those who are looking to be on the water for a shorter period of time.
Salmon Fishing
Our local salmon trip is a great option for those who love Alaskan salmon! We’ll spend the day trolling in some of the most scenic! Plus.. with the river regulations constantly changing, this also gives anglers a great option to target salmon during the season!
